Paintless Dent Removal
Specialising in minor door dents &
hail storm dents
Paintless Dent Removal
involves techniques and special tooling to gently restore deformed
metal back to its smooth original finish. It is an ideal alternative to conventional panel beating and
is the closest thing to the damage never happening.
Common Myths
Myth:
"Can't you just pop it out?"
Fact:
Sheet metal is work hardened
when deformed. Therefore, it must be carefully and gradually
pushed back into place. Heat is also used when necessary. Dents unfortunately, do not "pop right
out"
Myth:
"Can't you just suck the dent out?"
Fact:
Vacuum
cups or toilet plungers unfortunately don't have the
accuracy and finesse required to achieve a quality finish. If
access is limited, a method can be used to pull the metal
from the outside. However this has adhesion limitations and
is second in preference to accessing the rear of the panel.
Myth:
"Dents can be repaired by dry ice and a hair dryer"
Fact:
The
theory of metal expansion and contraction is there, however the
precision of this method isn't.

Is my damage suitable for PDR?
This commonly
depends on the severity of the damage and the
access to the backside of the panel.
As a rough guide:
1. Your paint should be in good condition - no
scratches, cracks or chips
2. Most minor dents up
to a 50cent size are ideal
3. Certain shallow creases and shallow large dents are
repairable
4. Unfortunately collision damage is beyond our process
What if
we can't fix
it?
If we are unable to fix the dent, there'll be no
cost to you & we'll gladly refer you to a quality panel
shop.
